I've finally found this song! I mistakenly thought this was a death cab song, as it was labelled as 'You can do better than me' from Narrow Stairs, off limewire, but after listening to it, soon realised the difference in voice, although subtle. This song is beautiful though, it has a sad but almost soothing tone to it.. thanks for putting it up :) |

This song has the power to make me cry, and cry and cry. It's just so beautiful and everyone who has commented has summed up all the reasons why. My favourite line is the first one, because it is just so true and connects the way only Gibbard can, but i also think the line: It stung like a violent wind that our memories depend On a faulty camera in our minds is just really heartbreaking, and it's so true and powerful, because as hard as we try to remember things, even really important things, with time, the details always seem to fade, just a little. I can't help but think of my grandmother, who i watched pass away.. this song came out not too long after that, and i'm always reminded of her when i hear it. Just beautiful in every way. |
