Sonny Moore – Copaface Part 2 Lyrics 17 years ago
In regards to my previous post, I kind of take it back. ^_^

I don't know anymore. I mean, he gives a lot of references to bulimia in his lyrics like this one, "waltz moore", "world war me", and so on, but I guess you always have to take everything you read on the internet with a pinch of salt, sort of speak. Maybe it's just a metaphor for something else, or just an example of self-hate.

Regardless, Sonny is still my idol and inspiration.

You can really look up to this kid 'cause he's been through Hell and back and still comes out strong. And with beautiful lyrics to describe his journey.

Sonny Moore – sadalof Lyrics 17 years ago
For some reason, when I first heard this song, I instantly thought of a wake where no one attended. Like the song describes the church where the wake is being held, but no ones there because no one knew the person that had passed. No one's going to remember that person, no one will say great things about them as time passes, nor will they know the accomplishments that person had made, if any.

The fact that no one came just amplified the fact of that person's death even more so.

"these wooden doors
cracked and sullen, fat from their lonley years of humidity and quiet as the tree they came from
popped the cork of a tragic day"

But then again, I could be completely wrong on this. It's just a simple thought that popped into my head when I first heard the song. Sonny's lyrics are so ambiguous now that he is doing his own thing. I mean, when he wrote for FFTL, it's meaning was somewhat obvious and you could immeditely understand its meaning, but now he really makes you think.

Sonny's a real, true poet.

I honestly could not put what gravityconquers any better. that person summarized everything that I thought the song was about.

Sonny is inspiration in human form. It's simple as that.

Sonny Moore – Copaface Lyrics 17 years ago
Basically what onstagebab04 said:
"Sonny describes a Copa as prize or award and that a copaface would be the face you have when all eyes are on you and you have to look like you are perfect and that your life is happy. "

Descibed what a copaface was when he was interviewed on DJ Rossstar Punk Rock Show. It's basically a facade.

My interpretation is that the song's about fame, and sort of describes what happens during it.

"I view so many faces form a tower up above
neglected inner wants and hungers for what I love" - High in music stature, I suppose, there's so many people focusing on him that he can't enjoy what he loves to do or do what he wants to do.

"a perfect beacon for the fictionettes
who spread their legs wide open on the plasma
embodiments of everything i hide about my self today" - Fame=groupies basically, and he sees that they sort of represent what he did to himself, like he sort of sold himself to everyone and maybe he craves the gratification of others, but doesn't like to show that fact.

"misplace your grace to chase your copaface" - basically trying to find that mask to put in place so no one would truly know who you are, and in doing so, losing your balance between reality and fame.

I don't know. I could be completely wrong with this, or maybe I'm right. Who knows. Just wanted to share my thoughts ^_^

Sonny Moore – Nodlove Lyrics 17 years ago
I think this song is about falling in love with the idea of being together. Like falling in and out of love. One minute you're the happiest together, but then you realize in the next that you weren't actually in love at all. You live in the moment, but when the moment's gone there's nothing left but the memory.

That's my thought, at least. Nevertheless, it's a beautiful song. I'd never expect a song like this from Sonny, but yet again he brings us another suprise. A very GOOD suprise ^_^

I believe Sonny was bulimic. It was confirmed practically everywhere. I mean, FFTL's song "waltz moore" pretty much speaks for itself.

Sonny writes beautiful songs with such expression. He a true poet. I can't wait for his cd to come out ^_^
