"we're hanged from our ankles we're hanged from this wire we're hanged from our ankles in fault in fault my hand bids* you back i'm only really there to form our end\ i also hear: - my heart bids you back - my heart brings you back - my hand brings you back either way, i think its a lot closer than what was originally posted. |

we've been terrorized with television problems at sale price when it's too good to be true we've been terrorized with air conditioned issues in spared times well if it's too good to be true i can't live without you I pretended to care for hours I pretended to care for days but your mouth never closed your excuses are filled with holes suppose you're being lied to would you ever even know? we've been terrorized with air conditioned issues in spared times what do you believe in more? we've been terrorized the oldest magician returns to steal your soul what do you believe in more? there's a special logic that grows with commercial perversion it'll put your mind at ease just to be safe it'll put your mind at ease its like being blindfolded all the time but your mouth never closed your excuses are filled with holes suppose you're being lied to would you ever even know? because you're become fixated for your testimonial just do your best to make it feel as real as possible because you've become okay with all the things you didn't know just do your best to make it seem natural we've been terrorized with television problems at full price when it's too good to be true we've been terrorized with air conditioned issues in spared times when it's too good to be true we've been terrorized we'll be the last to know and the first ones to go not sure about "full price," but it'd make sense considering the first time that line is used he definitely sings "sale price." |

Don't aim without a target Where will we end up? Don't tamper with the compass dial Where will it take us? We're headed back to the start Feels like it's over Don't aim without a target Where will we end up? If a fountain could fall from the sky There'd be a thousand witnesses But the crowd here screams: "We don't see a thing Our eyes are open Are we looking the right way? Cause we don't see a thing Our minds are open" There'll be a thousand witnesses Stay in grace Use it like it was an anchor Pour concrete on the roots Just to make sure you'll never move If a fountain could fall from the sky There'd be a thousand witnesses "Our eyes are open" We're headed back to start It feels like it's over We're headed back to the start It feels like it was an anchor Pour concrete on the roots Just to make sure you'll never move i'm pretty sure thats more accurate. "stay in place" makes sense because of "pour concrete on the roots just to make sure you'll never move," but "stay in grace" also works because, for all of you who love to put religious meaning to anthony's lyrics (and no, i dont usually do that, i find my own meaning like he intends =], and no, I'm not a religious wacko, i just know shit lol), God's grace is apparently just his love for mankind. to fall from grace is to sin, but it is better to have fallen from grace than to try and redeem onesself because to remain in Gods grace is to aknowledge that you're a sinner and ask for forgiveness, rather than to try and redeem onesself. and so, "stay in grace" would mean to accept who you are, accept what you've done, and dont try to redeem yourself or fix things. and "use it like it was an anchor," well, an anchor holds something in place--gives it stability, so, "stay in grace, use it like it was an anchor" could mean, accept what you've done, dont go trying to change it, be content with it. or something like that. let the verbal bashers and cyberattackers proceed. |
