I think this song has the general meaning of letting go of hope and trying to move on from a difficult relationship, while still having that person in your heart and being willing to accept them back in to your life if they put in an effort.
I say this because if this was about a boy, i dont see why some girl would sit around waiting for him to finally try. But friends will always be there, as will the friend in this song, even if you pushed them away after they were trying to help you |
