I would say that the guy in the song kills himself because he hears the voice of an old girlfriend that he can't be with. So kind of like what the people have said about schizophrenia. When the perspective of the song seems to change, that's a switch to the point of view of the girl in his head. Just seems to fit best as I see it. |

He didn't say it was about Layne, he actually said it WASN'T. "Bottom line, I suspect this song is informed by, but NOT NECESSARILY ABOUT...Jerry Cantrell's or the band's experience with Layne Staley..." Right from his post. Idiot. |

| Stone Temple Pilots – All in the Suit That You Wear Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I think that this song has a lot of meaning, that meaning being that Scott Weiland was under the influence of a lot heroin when he wrote it. Seriously, have you heard the chorus? | |

If we don't go into Iraq, Saddam takes over the Middle East. He may not have had nuclear weapons, but he would have. Then what? There is another 9/11. And you can say we should've pulled out, but when exactly was the right time? Know what you're talking about before you call me "blinded by patriotism" for actually supporting my country. Sadly, that's become the uncool thing to do. |

| Shinedown – What a Shame Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This song, lyrically, reminds me quite a bit of "The Ballad of Curtis Leow" by Lynard Skynard. I'm pretty sure that Shinedown are fans of theirs, too. So anyway, it's just something I noticed. | |

excellent song. For being 20 or something this is really well written. Some people on YouTube said this is exactly like Hero/Heroine, but they're really the opposite. |
