| Hey bloodytea, iv been following your comments through the songs, if your right about the theme of the album then most of the songs fit with the theme of a breakup or separation leading to the ultimate destruction of the whole family, however in this song i think it returns to the origional act which caused the separation because in the song before it looks like the mother has died. there is only a brief mention of demons inside which ( if this was the beginning of the separation ) would grow with time. also the bit about 2 years seams too short a period for the rest of the album to have covered if the theme runs through the album | |

My opinion is that you take this song too literally, i think that his journey into 'harlequine forest' is about a dark journey deeper into a drug habbit, the further you go the darker it gets. lines like 'insane regrets at the drop' and 'lose all to save a little' pointed me to drugs. If reverie is a good dream and im presuming harlequin foret is a dark dangerous place then this could signify the contrasts of danger and highs involved with drugs. just my personal opinion |
