I heard the acoustic version first, and I must say that I like it a lot better than the actual CD version. I think it's because with the simple strings and raw vocals.. it makes the lyrics appear far superior than the electronic version. Especially the "Ooo" and duo singing Emily does with Jimmy. The acoustic does the lyrics great justice. |

It is obviously about suicide, and to be honest I listened to this song for hours on May 9 when my friend committed suicide. The "why were we so unkind" part might spring from the fact the girl may have been bullied, or maybe he got in a fight with her one day. Who knows. Sensitive subject, but wonderfully written with powerful words and very emotional so it tugs on the strings of our hearts. I deeply feel the same pain, but in the end we're all going to where these people who've died have gone.. they just went before us. Deepest sympathies go out to the family and those who are effected by it. Beautiful song. |

Kids won't know how to dance to real rock and roll, good old 50's-70's music when they hear it, and the artists trying to make it in the business that aren't rap or hip hop might as well give their songs away, because the music industry is focussed on what's "now". I knew Sam Roberts should have gotten in the ring with Christina Aguilera in butt-less chaps a few years back... -- Sarcasm by the way. Good old Rock and Roll from Sam Roberts is unappreciated by many listening chewy ear bubble gum that's so repetitive. Lyrical genius is what the Sam Roberts Band is, and those who listen to him have a connection to the music. Well, that's my very unprofessional opinion anyways. :\ |

Sundance Kid is about a 1800's outlaw who was put in the Sundance jail in Wyoming. "No I never robbed a bank, in an Andean town" the "Sundance Kid" travelled to South America, to Boliva and was killed there. The "Andes" in South America are a reference to the Andean Town. |
