This song really gets to me. I'm listening to it right now. I think its about loneliness.. 'I need something to believe in'. I agree with the above comments that this song can also relate to low self-esteem but not entirely.. This person has tried so hard to find their way but everything they do seems to get them nowhere. Maybe thats why they don't believe in themselves? I think the line 'I don't mind anymore' could possibly be denial or a way of expressing that they're giving up. Especially with the line 'guess it'll all work out' Scared of success and failure i believe is about being afraid of change or taking risks since they're used to the way their life has turned out... But thats just my opinion |
