I love this song, and the emotion that it puts off. In my opinion I think Oliver (guitar/vox) wrote this at a time when everything was just picking up and getting better until his g/f (wife, etc.) left. "Every time you leave (that random her...obvious) I go down (in self-esteem, emotion) I'll just wait for you to turn around (in regret of leaving) And kick your head in (for putting him through all the emotions of a break up, all to just come back)" As where "To fix the gash in your head" is another way of saying 'get your head on straight', or as if there is something wrong with the person for the fact that they keep leaving when all that's going wrong is self-doubt(?) within themselves. |
