Ozomatli – After Party Lyrics 17 years ago
THis song is great. If Ozo had more of a following, this song could be one of those mellow party anthems, along the lines of Sublime's What I got and WIll Smith's Summertime.

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Pretty Little Ditty Lyrics 17 years ago
I love this song, I believe in artistic integrity. Did Crazy Town "steal" this song, or did they pay for sampling rights? There is a big difference. And besides, if the Crazy Town song put Pretty little Diddy in our minds, the more power to the song.

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Hard to Concentrate Lyrics 17 years ago
I never thought a RHCP song would replace "breaking the Girl" and "soul to squeeze" as my favorite RHCP songs, but Hard to Concentrate did just that. The music is so haunting, the lyrics have this testosterone-driven romantic feel to it.

When I bought Stadium Arcadium, this was the first song I played over and over again. I just had to know this song in and out.

I just about pee'ed my pants when I turned on Numb3rs one day and this song was the intro to that episode.

Weezer – Burndt Jamb Lyrics 17 years ago
when I listen to all Weezer on my ipod, I always hit "back" for a replay at least 3 or 4 times when this song comes on. Not even so much for the words, but for the laid-back music.

John Frusciante – The Past Recedes Lyrics 17 years ago
All I can say is John Frusciante is a heck of a poet and musician. If he go more exposure, he could be the greatest musician/songwriter of this generation, similar to Bob Dylan from the 60's/early 70s.

Slightly Stoopid – Mellow Mood Lyrics 17 years ago
Been a Stoopid fan for a little over a year and a half now. This is a great song. I went to the Orange county fair and saw them with Ozomatli and G-love. I am now a fan of all three. I was soooo hoping they would have done this song at that concert with G-love there, but it wasn't meant to be.

If I need to relax, the music in this song is like taking a refreshing nap, it recharges the soul.

Regina Spektor – Chemo Limo Lyrics 17 years ago
Most people are dead on about the cancer part and the decision she makes to forgo treatment. The second half of the song, to me, is describing the children she is leaving behind, but ultimately making this decision for them. First let me say that I think she is so incapacitated she cannot interact with the kids, or maybe she is already dead and is looking down on them. It also gives you a feel about what stage of life she is in when this all happens.

When you are born, the one face that never changes as you get older is the face of your mother, so my guess is when "Regina" sees Barbara, she sees her own mother, probably in her early 20's, thus Barbara is probably the oldest child in her early 20's. Sophie is probably the 15 - 17 year old teenage, escaping the pain with a distraction (only wants to listen to radio BBC). Jacqueline is probably around 8 - 10, trying to be grown up about the situation, but yet distant in her thoughts because she doesn't know how to express them. Michael is probably 3 - 5 years old, and is imagining that he is still talking to Mommy, even though she is not really there, not understanding that his mom is near-death or already gone.

All of this tells me that the Cancer victim is in her early 40's, in what should be a great part of her life.

BTW, I used to do the Revlon Cancer walk in Los Angeles for yhears, and the one thing that would absolutley kill me is to see the teenage girls that have lost theor mothers to Cancer and to see their sadness, fear and fight in their faces. Probably one of the more moving things someone can witness.
