I love this song, to me its about a doomed romance the man in the song loves a women, but he knows that in the end they will only cause each other pain destroying the love that they have with her lies and his refusal to commit to her.
I also love how in one version pete drops something, but he just picks up where he left, it makes it seem that much more intimate.
The guitar is also beautiful |

I love this song its beautiful. I think its about people who harp on about the good old days, they're saying there were no good old days, these are the good old days so stop banging on about them. My fav part " I've tried so hard to keep myself from falling back to my bad old ways" it so good :) |

I think ruining lines means scars fron self harm, but thats just me. I think its about yearning for childhood when thins were simpler, and about depression and suicide obviously.
"scratch my leg with a rusty nail, sadly it heals" that line is so sad and heartbreaking |

I love this song, relate to it so well, espcially the " while she hides the scars she's making underneath her pretty clothes" and the bit where shirley sings "you should see my scars and try to comprehend that which you'll never comprehend"
I always thought its about a group of people who are struggling with problems, be it cutting, eating disorders, gender confusion ect. The songs is basically a plea for understanding, people judge the people in the song and they saying " can you bleed like me" Ive always took that as meaning a kind of walk in my shoes and then see how easy it is ect. But its a great song, the way it goes through all those issues easily without sounding forces or anything like that. |

I love this song its so beautiful, I think its about hanging out with loved ones, espcially the lyrics "monkey said to the mouse if he loved anyone more than he" that parts about asking for reassurance. Its also about your past biting you in arse, seeing people you don't want to see, and of course an eritrean maiden who was half blinded in a war with a one track mind, lol :) |

I Love this song, its one of my favorite DPT's songs. I think its about how someone is feeling used by someone, and he feels torn between his loyalties, as well as feeling that people are sucking up to this other person hence " all the sycophants and vampires we'll I packed them off to hell" he then. goes on to say that he's trying to break free from those users, but he still has feelings for them 'loyalties' are torn. But he feels weary, can't sleep, ect. I also think he's angry at those blood thirsty bastards which colud reffer to the press and how they were only out for themselves, and were bleeding him dry with all the talk about pete, the libertines ect. ect. |
