this is all i've got: taoism is an ancient chinese philosophy of simplicity and selflessness. thus, i think that saul is trying to say that if we look at children, we can see this. it is one of the best examples of taoism. as a child, life isnt complicated. no worries of love and money. these things dont matter to children. |

this is just a passing thought I think this person is changing him and he doesn't like that, he loves this person but by changing him they are also taking away his strength but then he says "you are my mountain/sea" saying that hes changing but he has this person with him to be with him forever. also its the mountains and the sea and things like that which add to the image that they're going to be around forever like the mountains and sea |

| What I'm getting from this is that he's got his on this girl that is to good for him. He's comparing all of these things and they are all significantly than each other. But all of these differences even more, lead me to believe that the song is about two people that are so different from each other and its not worth it any more. This also would explain the title "Love Has A Diameter" meaning love only goes so far. | |

to me, it seems as though this song is saying that we are all related and connected by the little things that go wrong in life and that we are all put into a bad place at some point and we still to look forward because it brings us together thats what it means to me at least.... |
