I think this song is about how he has made up his mind that he's going to break up with this girl, and that he should feel like a terrible person for what he's going to do (break up with her). but he says he's not going to tell all her friends that he's going to break up with her first, he's going to tell HER first, not her friends. and he's told all his friends all the weird stuff about her. I really love this song because it's so honest about how relationships are. like you're kind of glad you're breaking up with the person but you really shouldn't be because of how horrible you're giong to make the other person feel. and we all always tell at least one other person about some weird secret shit about somebody we know we're breaking up with. because who cares now? you're breaking up. i love rooney :] |

yeah I LOVE the original but this is my favorite cover so far. and I agree with simdanes, I really didn't like how she repeats "tonight" on the first line of the chorus, but whatever it's still a great song. I think it's pretty obvious what the song is about though.. duh |

This song actually does remind me of Fefe Dobson. but I don't really think it has to mean about getting back together with the same guy. I think it's about getting out of a relationship and still being in that kind of rebound period, but meeting somebody new who you really like. Even though you just got "out of the fire" you go ahead and jump into a relationship with a person because you really like them, even though it's "another chance to get burned". and by the way, is it just me or does the sound of that "but you called me out" part remind you of the song for that old show "Daria"? |

def love this song and i heard it on black snake moan too i love the whole feel of that movie but i was wondering what the song was about, so i read the lyrics. I think: it's about somebody friendless or doesn't love anybody, and they're finding out what love is all about through its' absence. like this bitch can see how important it is to love somebody when she's all alone. "you know what the sun's all about when the lights go out" i love that part! |
