i don't think that this song is about sex, there are so many references to weather as a metaphor of their relationship that indicates that they've been through a lot of good and bad weather. with that said i assume that they would have had to be together for a while. I think that it's a play on words, and that going all the way isn't talking about sex, but perhaps about going all the way in a relationship in the sense of getting married. |

i think that the 'she' that's referred to is her therapist, hence the "medicinal tongue in her ear", and the saying things that she doesn't want to hear. Also since she is asking in the song, 'when will it stop" that seems like a plea to get better. perhaps she is there because she has intimacy issues and can't feel 'soft' about anyone anymore. |
