Muse – Map of the Problematique Lyrics 14 years ago
It's funny to see so many people reach when they interpret lyrics....

It seems this song is about how how love is so amazing but so f'd up that when you don't think it's real you just keep doing the wrong things because you don't want to lose it...

But when it's lost it's hard to see why the other person is being so hateful towards you

This is an awesome song....

I think this song is open to interpretation like most... but too me this song is about a couple who have had difficulties and perhaps have broken up, there is still a lot of love between them and he is just saying that he is willing to wait for him/her to sort out whatever issues caused the breakup and he is just waiting for them to come back and tell him that they are ready to be "free"

Free of all the issues that plagued them and free to love and live a happy life forever!!

I have probably read a bit of my own life into this but I think it fits :)

The song itself was written about the Kosovo Conflict.

The Kosovo conflict was full of civil injustices from both sides, therefore "HE" is a reference to the Yugoslavian security forces and the Kosovo Albanian insurgents.

Both of these forces were locked in bloody battle and would regularly move into a city or town and ravage not only the city and it's resources but also it's people.

This song is, I beleive one of the best personal and emotional interpretations of war ever penned and sung by an artist, and James' beautiful voice manages to push that emotion over the top.

Please, seriously think about what you are saying. You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

If you seriously believe that American/British/Australian/French/you get the idea, troops are burning houses beyond repair and cutting and raping people you are the most unread person on the face of the earth.

Don't try and sully a great song about and emotional topic such as the Kosovo war with your bullshit political rhetoric.

Read about the conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan then get back to us here with a decent response.

Muse – New Born Lyrics 17 years ago
Link it to the worl link it to your self, In my opinion the song is exactley about belamy's vision of the technological phase we are going through at this point in life or if you will evolution.

We as humans are at a point in our existence where we feel that without our extra appendages (the internet, the phone, the TV, the car) we cannot function, it is a look at society and how maybe we need to remember the past and how we managed to get along just fine without the tech. It doesn't say get rid of the tech it suggest we look at ourselves and remember "The man who forgets the past, is destined to fail in the future"

Muse – Plug In Baby Lyrics 17 years ago
Most people don't realise that Muse and in particular Matt DOES not perform or write any songs that have a distinct meaning per se' Matt himself in an interview on a European music TV show said that he does not try to interperet lifes meanings and tell people about them, he just chooses a better way to ask the question so that people may answer the question themselves.

So every persons point of view is correct yet every persons point of view is wrong.

The songs themselves do have meaning to the band to the listener even to the person who hates this music altogether, but the songs don't express the meaning they just make you think of the meaning that suits not only you but your current political and environmental climate.

But hey as I said above this is just my take on what the song means, so I am correct and you are all wrong, but you are more correct than I.

Matchbox Twenty – How Far We've Come Lyrics 17 years ago
By my reasoning this song is about not only America as much as people love to bash them as much as possible.
But I beleive it is more about humanity and how far we have come as a race, but then looks at how even though we have advanced ourselves in such a short time we can't even look at what we have done to this earth and ourselves through pollution and war, and we are happier pretending that the problems don't exist.

But then again this is my opinion and some of the others here are very good and just as valid
