Iread something off the Springsteen website a while back that explained the opening with Blood Brothers the concert after the death of Dan Federici. It went something like this. The stage was set up as Dan was going to appear, the arena went black, The band came out and started playing blood brothers,while pictures of Dan were being showed on the screen. the whole song there was a spotlite on dans spot and stuff. The band cried while bruce and the band tried to get every note out. at the end of the song Bruce let out a scream of pain as he spotlight went out.

What it is saying is that whatever happens, including death, he will always have a place in his heart for him. they will always be "Blood Brothers" |
