This song runs through my body and gives me chills each and everytime I hear it........To me it just means that she has been hurt many times by love but the man that stands before her is offering her one more shot and she's scared but willing to take the leap. It's such an incredible, amazing, scary, feeling to have been hurt so much in your past and then see love in the eyes of someone again. You want to turn away and hold on for dear life at the same time. I think Elisa summed up that lovely confusion beautifully in this song. |

| I think this is just a way to explain how it fls to hav to take medication or self medicate by drinking to feel normal or like you can kep going. I believe that in the last verse he's apologizing to somone whom he was in a relationship with for behaving badly while on th medication and focusing so much energy on himself and his disease that he din't have anything left for her. Now he regrets it. | |

| I believe the song is writen to a girl that has inspired him to be better, and he really wants to be the man she sees when she looks at him. Yet no matter how hard he tries to live up to the image she holds for him the truth he's keeping inside is slowly seping through. So he's forced to show her his true colors and in essnce revealing himself as a chameleon, one who shade changes to reflect the world around him. He changed to fit into her world but his demons are so strong he so often has to change back. I think it 's kinda like saying he wants to be the man that she deserves but he's an addict and an emotional mess so he's going to really need her help to become worthy of her. | |

| I thik that this song represents a full fledged addict that has found the love of someone he knows is truly too good for him at this point. So instead of tearing her down with his destructive habits he has chosen to just walk away from her and spare her a lot of pain. He loves her but also knows she doesn't deserve to have to fight his addiction along side of him especially when he feels as if his demons may be winning. | |

| I don't think that's it's about a relationship at all personally. I think it's more about his personal struggle to reconnect with evryone who loved him most throughout all his years. You know? Sometimes we get so sad and self destructive that instead of continuing to hurt the one's that care about us the most we push all of them away one by one until we're all alone. All the while time just goes by and then we may realize when it's too late that they were really the one's that made life worth living. I can relate, it really sucks. | |
