| The Killers – Losing Touch Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| hm. i think this is about the character telling a girl he trusts about things that are bothering him a lot and he gives himself up to her trust then she tells everyone and says hes "losing touch". he trusts her is his darkest hours and she goes around telling people things he trusted he to keep between just them. my vision of it ha | |
| The Killers – Goodnight, Travel Well Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Hm well, this is pretty cool, and i think it is VERY different from anything the killers did before and i think is a good ending to an album that i found to be a very different thing from them. my first reaction to the album was that its very different from the other ones and sounded weird but i knew it would just take time to get used to, and it rocks ha | |
| The Killers – A Dustland Fairytale Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| best song on Day & Age for me. i had different thoughts on this, more similar to that of Mr. Brightside but the guy a few above seems to have info that says otherwise haha. | |
| The Killers – This Is Your Life Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Well this song fuckin rocks and heres my thought on it, seems to me to fit well: about a prostitute that uses the name "Candy" when doin her thing on the street (talks to strangers and no one cares about her hair, just want sex from her). she used to go by jackie, what she was known as when younger and innocent, maybe Flowers is telling about some he knew that became a hooker. then i think the rest is jsut a general life story about hookers that try to get by in las vegas. |

| Coldplay – Fix You Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Im pretty sure this song is about falling in love with someone, then seeing bad things about then and you trying to change this person (Fix You) and you love them so much you cant let go, even though you know somethings arent the way you want them in this person. Then you know you will never be able to change who someone is(fix them) so you end the relationship and the things he talks about are what you will do when you end it. (loose something you cat replace). means a lot i think cause i can see what he means, you like some things in a person and know you cant replace those things, but there are others things you need that they DONT have. | |
| The Killers – Mr. Brightside Lyrics | 17 years ago |

ok, im just gonna get this down to the bottom cause atm i have time and i htink i have this figured out perfectly... I'm coming out of my cage And I've been doing just fine Gotta gotta gotta be down Because I want it all It started out with a kiss How did it end up like this It was only a kiss, it was only a kiss Now I'm falling asleep And she's calling a cab While he’s having a smoke And she's taking a drag Now they're going to bed And my stomach is sick And it's all in my head Comeing out of his cage, a shy guy getting out into, what i see as like a party sitation, hes taking to girls. hes doing ok in the situations and has to be cool (gotta be down) because he wants to get a girl (want it all) aka sex. It starts with a kiss and he thinks he is important to her, but really hes just a guy at a party to her, and he ends up getting hurt later (end up like this). he trys to tell himself its dumb to be hurt cause it was just a kiss(only a kiss). Now hes going to bed alone and she is going home, she meets a guy (while wainting for a cab) that is waiting outside smoking, and he offers her a cig (she taking a drag), now they are going home together, and he feels sick and hurt because he likes her, and its all in his head that she likes him as much as he likes her, cause she doesnt like him THAT much. But she's touching his chest now He takes off her dress now Let me go I just can't look, it's killing me And taking control Once again, they go home together, he doesnt exactly see it, but at least hears about it happening, hes upset agian, and he cant take it, and gets really upset, even though he knows he shouldnt, it was just a kiss. Jealousy, turning saints into the sea Swimming through sick lullabies Choking on your alibis But it's just the price I pay Destiny is calling me Open up my eager eyes 'cause I'm Mr. Brightside He is getting jealous, and cursing madly (turning saints into the sea, i get this from another song called saints and sailors where it is said "she kisses like a saint but curses like a sailor, which would be turning him from a saint to a sailor, into the sea). He trys to sleep (swimming through lullabies) trying to give excusses for her doing that (alibis) but its what he gets for thinking the kiss meant more than it did (the price i pay). then he says destiny calls him, meaning he must move on, and he has to see it how it is, nothing important andto get over it (open up my eager eyes) and by looking it at as something to just get over, hes looking at the brightside, aka he is mr brightside. other parts are just repeat I never I never I never he never experienced this before, aka coming out of his cage ;) |

| The Killers – Under the Gun Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| also-- he sees her as an angel, which she is not in reality. and there are two versions of this song that i have, one is crappy and with no emotion, the other is my favorite song ever. | |
| The Killers – Under the Gun Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| i think this song is a guy talking to his friend about a girl. the guy thinks this girl is so great and everything, but time and time again he sees her in a way that makes him unhappy. he thinks she is something she is not. The girl will not live up to his high expectations. I think at one point he saw this girl in a good light, and thought great things about her, when it may have just been a one time thing and she really is not as good as that one time. | |

| The Killers – Andy, You're a Star Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
well ive always thought of this as Flowers singing it, but it not being about him. never until i came here, did i think he might be gay. hmm.. but i think the person that said the following was very correct because i have felt the same, trying to convince yourself you are not in love with a girl: Unlike everyone else I think the song is from Andy's perspective... meaning Andy is talking to himself. He tells himself not to be in love with the girl because he's so much bigger than her... ie a star! |

| Oasis – Little By Little Lyrics | 17 years ago |

anyone think this could be about USA? think about the whole song: We the people fight for our exsistence (Const. and other countries view of US, always fighting or w/e) we dont claim to be perfect but were free (other coutries say we think we are perfect, US seen as free place) we dream our dreams alone with no resistance (people used to come here to try to live their dreams) fading like the stars we wish to be (people also say we all want to be stars or w/e also about dreams and crap) same with the whole song, just think about events happening in US. Just my random thoughts that popped into my head around the 50th time i played this song, never thought about its meaning tho. hah |

"Catch the wheel that breaks the butterfly" references the quotation: "Who breaks a butterfly upon a wheel?" from Alexander Pope's Epistle to Dr Arbuthnot. - from wiki |

well i was in class today and singin the part of the song "If I'm to fall Would you be there to applaud Or would you hide behind them all" and i remembered that i read this album has some to do with biblical messages or whatever and the thought of what that line means came to my mind. Completely random and i have no idea about the other parts of the song but oh well: Maybe it is referring to when Jesus was arrested and was denyed three times by Peter. "Would you be there" or "hide behind them all" haah just a thought |

| Box Car Racer – Letters To God Lyrics | 17 years ago |

He also says "I should've asked, I could've helped at least a fuckin' thousand times before will this offer, get me in or does this prove that they gave more" saying he should have asked and could have helped, meaning he had opportunities to do good and get him into heaven by being a good person, but didnt take them. and this song may be his "offer" and he asks "will this offer get me in, or does this prove that they gave more" meaning that he thinks other people gave more and he realizes that the song or promise he is offering isnt as good as other peoples actions. |

| What i thought of a few days ago about this song was just random while i was listening to it. Tom says "Maybe i dont wanna go" and when i heard that i just thought of how some people say "go to hell" and i just got a thought that maybe someone told him go to hell and this might be a song about that. because he says "maybe i dont wanna go" also "i wont lie, i wont sin" as if he is trying to make a case or promise for him to make it into heaven instead.. jsut my thoughts randomly | |
