It's very hard to to get into an artists head. But to me, I was kind of saddened by her lyrics. I heard her Narnia tune and heard another couple of songs on youtube and began wondering what she was about. A bit bjork a bit Jane Siberry, but she does her own thing. Wonderfully creative talented woman! From the lyrics, is she a professing Christian? The image of the baby jesus statue being kissed and whispered to was powerful in my mind but as I read the lyrics it seemed to have only been a mock. Christians are guilty of every imaginable sin including hypocracy, but that isn't a reason to not feel hurt, saddened by lyrics such "all the non-believers they get to eat dirt
and the believers get to spit on their graves" I really would like to know more about where she's coming from. Anyone have additional informartion on her philisophy, world view, etc.? As I said, I do enjoy other songs, so I'll probably keep listening to her stuff. Blessings ya'll |
