| The Cat Empire – Miserere Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Did you ever see a man, Who did walk down the street, white robe with no shoes on his feet, And on top of his head placed a box with two slits, And a sign from his neck said “I do not exist” i always thought this was some god metaphor..? anyways this is such a beautiful song... i love the singing in the background.. i love the lyrics.. its so beautiful is makes me want to cry |

| Silverchair – Reflections Of A Sound Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i dont know what it means. if anything. i think daniel johns is trying to hard to create bizare yet insightful songs, and has really started to scrape the barrel. and if you watch the film clip three words come to mine: try hard arty. lolol |

| Gnarls Barkley – Who Cares? Lyrics | 17 years ago |
cee-lo is incredibly smart! he takes extremely generic lyrics and pretty much takes the piss out of them. i really dig this song. i love the oxymorons, and contradicions. gold. the line "its deep how you can be so shallow" is top. hes taking the piss out of generic poppy tunes. the chorus makes that pretty clear |

| Gorillaz – Fire Coming Out of the Monkey's Head Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| im so sick of everything being brought back to terrorism and 9/11 | |
| Gorillaz – Dirty Harry Lyrics | 17 years ago |
THE WHOLE ALBUM has the theme of a society in turmoil, it tells a whole story of it!! whatever war torn country its refering too... or even if it is refering to an actual country well never know personally i think the whole album is just refering too the make believe place the gorillaz have created, but at the same time making references that we can relate back to our own society. and im sorry but there are plenty of other wars that can be related too aside fro iraq. bloody americans. |
| Gorillaz – Feel Good Inc. Lyrics | 17 years ago |
okay ive read a few of these comments... and sorry if someones already said this but the song is about a dystopia. it about a government taking complete control etc. this is the concept of the entire album. |

| Eels – My Beloved Monster Lyrics | 17 years ago |
omg i love the idea of this song being about a dog... it makes so much sense! i now officially love this song more. but yeh when it comes to this song being in shrek, its about the world having a contradicting opinion about your lover, and about not caring what the world says etc |
| Lupe Fiasco – Daydreamin' Lyrics | 17 years ago |
the first verse in this song is great. the metaphor of the GIANT ROBOT (not joe reabock.. roflmao) i think is representing the ghetto lifestyle (with the references to the hoes, crack heads, drive byes etc), and how lupe feels that hes just been taken along of an uncontrolable ride of this lifestyle, how hows its now larger than life, hence it being a giant robot. and lupe is looking out the face, so he feels that he is merely an observer to all this. and plus ive heard heaps of stuff about lupe fiasco originally hating hip hop and its culture as a kid. and then the second verse goes on to make references to ow rappers degrade woman (something lupe hates) and do drugs and stuff (as nickizzsick) says. soo yeh... i love lupe.. its nice to see a rapper with diferent values.. :D |
| Cold War Kids – We Used to Vacation Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i am the kid in this song. it is genius the way its been written. because you know there are far worse things in the world than what your family is going through, never less it's still pretty much a domestic hell. i honestly feel like this is an exact mirror reflection into my life.. especially with the particular "accident" and the line "this will all blow over in time" |
| Butterfingers – Get up outta the dirt Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| this is a mad song. more people should listen to it. too many melodramatic complainy pants out there | |

| The Shins – Australia Lyrics | 17 years ago |
this is how i vision this song: an old crazy man (probably in a wheel chair) talking too some young girl who probably just turned 18 (or who is just comming of age), basically telling her about life, and its mistreatments and pointlessness. he then goes on to tell the girl how her life will probably turn out, saying shes damned to the norm and fading away (do dos conundrum.. extinction). and that no matter what she expects of how great she expects her life to be, her nightmares only need a year or two to unfold. and the line dare to be one of us girl, i think is a sarcastic line.. as in saying; c'mon join everyone else, see how crap it is for yourself! and then the final line, so give me your hand and lets jump out the window... probably the old guy asking her to end her life with his... so i guess you could say the entire song (in my perspective) is about an old guy talking to a girl whose just come of age (whose excited to become an adult etc), and he is convincing her of the worthlessness off life and how it disapoints. i think he is trying to make the girl take her life with him.. yeh |
| LCD Soundsystem – Someone Great Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i doubt its about 9/11... seems like a way too personal song for that. its about a death, the dr thing kinda makes sense.. and with the reference to being smaller than his wife imagines, surprised you were human would imply that his wife didnt have a strong relationship with this person but majority of the song is about greif, and how dificult it is to just get on with life after someone great is gone.. definetly not about a breakup... well thats what i think anyways |
| Machine Gun Fellatio – Unsent Letter Lyrics | 17 years ago |
definetly a song about emptyness... possibly about a relationship just after breaking up with someone and trying to still remain friends, but there being a lack off comunication (unsent letter is the title after all)... and feeling like the other person has better things to do the music and the lyrics really match well too.... |
