Disturbed – Forgiven Lyrics 17 years ago
It might be about someone going to hell, but i think it might just as well be about actual forgiveness of someone. I agree with Unsound that the line "You're just another dead man living to me" might be about someone who is dead to him, but is still alive. That interpretation would explain the parts about being forgiven, but i think the nightmare part needs to be explored more. I don't know what it means, but i think that there might be more to it.

Die Krupps – The Unforgiven Lyrics 17 years ago
...this is the same as metallica...

I think that the song is about a person who is beaten down by society and taken advantage of all his life. It tells of the different stages of his life: "The young boy learns their rules" "This bitter man he is" "The old man then prepares"

This person does not forgive the people that have wronged him, shown by "So I dub thee unforgiven"

This has probably been discussed on the metallica version, but my comp wont go there for some reason, so im sharing my ideas here

Disturbed – I'm Alive Lyrics 17 years ago
The unforgiven is abut a guy beaten down by society, i think. This song seems more defiant, and is definetely about ignoring to society's or peers' expectations. The song is not necessarily about the messiah, but i can see where you guys are coming from, it makes a little sense. I can sympathize with the anguish and rage suggested here, as i am a rebel myself, and agree that the only way to keep your opinions and not get utterly destroyed is to ignore what other people think. A good way to sum it up, as people have already said, is Carpe Diem (seize the day)

p.s. about the muslim post, that was from another website and the person who posted it doesn't necessarily believe that. If he/she DOES believe that, it doesn't matter everyone is entitled to their opinion, they probably would identify with this song as all of you guys seem intent on beating them down :( (shame on all of you for being hypocrites)

Disturbed – Overburdened Lyrics 17 years ago
I think that this song might be about predestination, this might be shown by the line "fate, fate is so unkind" "If it all amounts to nothing", if it all amounts to nothing, and fate is unkind, then might that not signify that he had little or no choice in the matter? also he wonders "how was i considered evil?" and he might not have been, but through predestination, or fate, he was cast into hell regardless. Also he wonders why he is standing in the line, which shows some resistance and free will, even though he does not do anything (in the song)

This is my first post, please don't shout at me :P
