I love the mystery in a lot of Regina's songs, but I think it would be such an insight if I actually knew them! But my/these interpretations of the songs are all good!
I think this one, a bit like 'somedays' may have something to do with suicide/depression etc. Because the 'dear someone listening in the corner' kinda links to her only being able to talk to this 'someone'. The someone could be herself, because she doesn't have anyone else to talk to, so she's almost invented someone in her mind to help her work out her problems.

I think this is a song about someone with a split personality. 'Somedays aren't yours at all... etc'. Also, the bit about 'going downtown' is an expression meaning into a depression, or often drugs/alcohol. ? |

It's a really catchy-funny song, but surely the moral is 'don't leave me my dear'? Which isn't happy! Unless she's talking about the places themselves, and how she has to leave them? |

I love this piece so much. It makes me really sad. I think it represents her not being with whoever anymore, and it has lots of reference to changing, so that kinda indicates the loss/moving on etc. Like the 'hydrant covered in snow' shows that it's winter, and the 'like the leaves of fall' obviously represents fall! Ahh, I love this song so much. |
