i agree, i thinks it about casey. but also about life on the road in general. for all i know, this was written way before casey died, the last show i went to, casey was there, and they were talking about still fighting Victory, and how they were looking for somewhere else to release there new album. i think JT was growing tired of life on the road, and missed his wife and kid, but then casey died and it really sent him over the edge into a state of desperation. because if you listen hard enough, you can tell. they are stressed. come back to ohio boys, we love you <3 |

ASPARTAME KILLS! (aspartame=artificial sugar) did you catch it in the video? btw, its like really serious, over 80% of complaints to the FDA/people who are supposed to make sure we are not eating toxins are about aspartame and other artificial sweetners. I can only see this song being a warning. i tried to go on a aspartme-free diet, and epicly failed. its in like everything, particularly diet coke and Stride gum! |

Not gonna lie, I had just watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind for the first time like two days before I really listened to this song. I also thought it said Valentine. But when I heard Clementine, I reallyyyy thought it was about that movie. Because I thought "bleeding in the sink" was "bathing in the sink", something that happens in the movie. The lyrics deff. go with the movie, especially lines like "Shoulda been coulda been Woulda been woulda been you!", "I saw her laugh Then she said, then she said, Go away, away" and "It's in the taking, making, baking, taking, faking". Because the guy in the movie (Joel) spends most of the movie seeing his memories, it goes along with how they could've, and should've been lovers (Joel and Clementine), but things turned sour and it was just "would've", and in the correct order of their relationship, things were great and good, but then "she said go away" when Clementine erased Joel from her memories. Also, all the making, taking and faking can refer to when Joel tries to hide Clementine in other memories to save her from being erased. I know that is not what the song is about, but I like to think it is because it is one of my favorite movies, and soad is one of my favorite bands, and the movie and the song deff. have some things in common:) |

i read all these posts about relationship free sex, and that makes sense but i gotta be honest, the first time i heard this i automatically thought drugs. I'm not sure, but thats what i thought. "can't take anymore", "But you've been around too I don't hide it from you-o-o", "And we can make all our dreams come true With you", "Time keeps slipping us by When we're alone" , "Just show me what you can do-o-o", "Do you feel, Do you feel all right? All right.". Idk, I just kinda thought overall it was just about a kid who was like "hey, yeah i realize i do drugs, it's not a big deal" not like denial or anything, just sorta being friends with drugs rather then being addicted. this is prolly really wrong lol. |

| We Are the Fury – Venus Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Also, the Venus De Milo was famous in the 19th century, so maybe that has something to do with "she's only 19 but she's doing fine"?? | |

| First I want to say that WATF are geniouses. They play a wicked live show too. But here is a pretty good theory about this song. The "Venus De Milo" is a statue depicting Aphrodite, the godess of love and beauty. You probably know the statue, its the one where both arms broke off. Anyways, in the left hand, before it broke, it held an apple. References in the song being "plaster white" (she's a statue) "swingin' her hips like the Aphrodite" (thats who the statue is of) "she starts to crack" (old statue) "slip her my keys she can't hand them back" (no arms) "Miss De Milo" (name of statue) "i took the apple from her hand" (missing apple in hand) "Paris lets her out at night" (reference to greek mythology). Personally, I think this totally makes the song hilarious and clever as piss. Way to go Jeremy:] | |
