Norah Jones – Seven Years Lyrics 14 years ago
I think people have neglected the lyric "...with nothing wrong".

This to me speaks to a child with a sibling who is sick or disabled (the subject of the song is the child with "nothing wrong", which could be used as a descriptor to differentiate the child from a child *with* something wrong).

In that scenario, her parents, sibling and other adults could be preoccupied with the ill/disabled child, and thus the other little girl craves attention, but doesn't get it "She'll sing her song to anyone who comes along". Even though there's "nothing wrong" with her, she's "all alone".

Just my 2 cents.

Julie Doiron – I Left Town Lyrics 17 years ago
I thought this song had a remarkable *lack* of meaning to me... It was a pretty song and I thought I'd missed an important line when listening to it the first time....

... but nothing. Maybe I'm more used to other bands who combine lyrical ethereality with actual meaning/story... but this just seemed to go nowhere.

Shame really, because it's a nice song to listen to. Just think it's unfortunately a bit... without.

Have I missed something?
