I agree with you nehemiah553... the song to me is... like you said "i knew you wanted to jump in the pool" but they didn't and now they've missed their chance... "I push out, I breath in, and still us turning away" (they tried but failed) "don't look back, don't pretend, we'll never take control again" (no point pretending that they could have done it)... to me it's about a relationship... it didn't work out, she wanted it to work out (hence wanting to jump in the pool) but they both knew that it wouldn't so there's no point pretending that it would have. i hope that makes sense lol... it makes sense to me :) I also love this song... what a beautiful dreamy melody :) |

I love the lyrics in this song... I can really relate to it... having gone through something very hard in my life i've found that the lyrics "I had seven faces, thought I knew which one to wear, I'm sick of spending these lonely nights, training myself not to care"... is exactly how I feel sometimes when I think of the incident... but hearing "It's up to me now, turn on the bright lights" is uplifting... telling me to not let this one thing get me down and to be strong and keep on going... cause it's up to me now. i do enjoy interpol :) |
