This is my favourite song on the album and favourite song by them ever. It's clearly about a relationship where the girl that's fucked up. "Close your eyes There's nothing we can do But sleep in this bed that we made for ourselves You're trapped in your past Like it's six feet under" Her past has had a big influence on why she is how she is. "I won't give up on you These scars won't tear us apart So don't give up on me It's not too late for us I'll save you from yourself" Maybe she's tried killing herself? Like I've said in another comment, I think this album is about different kinds of suicide. Two about suicide notes, one about someone killing their friendship with a person, one about someone who knows somebody who killed themself and it fucked up their friend, etc. |

I think everyone's covered it. I think it's partially about the whole "looking out the window to see happy people & she wonders why she can't" etc thing. Also the "the glass is cold when I touch my face.." bit, it's obviously about the mirror. She's touching her face on the mirror & it's cold but she can feel her tears roll down her cheeks. She's really depressed & can't understand why she's not happy when everyone else around her is so happy & turns to the mirror for help, to get her through to the next day because she feels asthough she could commit suicide? Idk, so many thoughts & I really can't word them. I listen to this song when I'm sad & it makes me sadder but at the same time, cheers me up? Idk, that's what it's like though. :] I've loved Katy Rose since late 2004 & I doubt there'll ever be a time when I stop. |

I'm pretty sure the album is directed towards Peter Kürten. If not, at least this song. Kürten confessed to 79 offenses, and was charged with nine murders and seven attempted murders. He went to trial in April 1931. He initially pleaded not guilty, but after some weeks changed his plea. He was found guilty and sentenced to death. As Kürten was awaiting execution, he was often interviewed by Dr. Karl Berg, whose interviews with and analysis of Kürten formed the basis of his book, The Sadist. Kürten gave his primary motive to Berg as being one entirely of sexual pleasure. The number of stab wounds differed due to the simple fact it sometimes took longer to achieve orgasm; the sight of blood was integral to his sexual stimulation. He was executed on the guillotine in Cologne. His last words were: "Tell me, after my head has been chopped off, will I still be able to hear, at least for a moment, the sound of my own blood gushing from the stump of my neck?...that would be the pleasure to end all pleasures."
