Man, so I love sublime and all, they're one of my top favorite favorite bands, no doubt. I've been a Dead fan my whole life though, and this song makes me cringe every time I hear it. I liked the original so much more. The lyrics are much better, "Once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right." I wish they hadn't changed that around :[ I'm impressed that they even tried to take on a Dead song, though. That's pretty cool. Maybe Sublime will end up being a grateful dead for the neo-hippie generation? :] |

I love this song, it's great to wake up to first thing in the morning, and puts me in the best mood ever. One of my favorite pd songs, no doubt. :D And it's not degrading, I think it's pretty much just empowering. |
