The Weepies – Stars Lyrics 17 years ago
I think this song is a really romantic view of two lovers trying for a baby.

With lines like "pull to the blue velvet" and the whole part about "Back and forth we ply these oars, They move in time and get entwined" decribing them making love and then the part about ripend fruit could be the pregnancy and having a child.

The Weepies – Painting By Chagall Lyrics 17 years ago
I think it's more about a love that people said wouldn't work, but then the lovers go for it and it turns out to be amazing

The Weepies – Nobody Knows Me At All Lyrics 17 years ago
I think a lot of it is about becoming more complicated as you grow older. As a child, you're not so emotionally complex and everybody smiles, you feel known and accepted, but then as you get older, you might still be happy, but you become a much more complicated person and nobody REALLY knows you anymore.
