| Maroon 5 – If I Never See Your Face Again Lyrics

Definitely about sex, but I disagree with the one night stand theory. I think it was a relationship that failed, otherwise, why would it make either person "burn to learn" they're not the only one... |

I love this song. It has become my life motto. Why deny yourself something if its within your reach? If you feel strongly enough about something, do it. If you feel like you're drowning in things you haven't done or said... WHAT'S STOPPING YOU??? This song gives me hope and fills me with joy, because I know that I have the power to say what I need to say, despite everything. :) |

I agree with elise.bby, It's totally open to interpretation. It could be the post-breakup "i miss you," it could be the "i love you so much, never leave me," it could be a declaration of dependence toward friends, or a few other things. One that hasn't been mentioned...
The video seems to suggest that the 2 speakers are in a relationship, but they're fighting. The time apart reminds them of how strong their feelings for each other are. I hear more than love or loneliness in the lyrics, I hear anger and pain. Like they're screaming at each other "How could you do this? I can't breath without you!" Which i really love, because it lends an extra dose of passion to the song. |

| Jason Mraz – Only Human Lyrics

This song is about the Green Movement. Read the lyrics again, and notice "if that's our only excuse, how do we think we'll keep on being only human." He talks about how this (the environment/planet) will outlive him, and makes references to "paving over paradise" and "planets talking about a revolution, the natural laws ain't got no constitution."
It's his commentary (with LOTS of metaphors and word play) about caring for the environment. |

It's more a generalization. Of those women who are incredibly sexy and they know it, and when they say your name, you drop everything to do their bidding. There are a lot of metaphors in the song about how bad he wants his "coyote," but he also talks about the hold those women have on men in general. |

| Missy Higgins – Going North Lyrics

Missy Higgins went to a small secluded town North of where she lives in Australia to write songs and get in touch with herself, her inner child, her inner demons, etc. The song is just about that journey--literally and metaphorically. That's what she said about the song before playing it at a concert. |

| Maroon 5 – Goodnight, Goodnight Lyrics

The speaker has been left by a woman he loved. He was devastated, but is now with another woman. His ex-lover is hurt and furious that he's with someone else, and he's speaking to her in the chorus. Basically, he's saying "We've stayed in touch, but it hurts me too much to have you angry with me, when YOU'RE the one who ended it, so I'm done with you, goodnight." Even though he's cutting the ex off, his life still feels empty without the ex. This song was confusing to me until I was put in the situation I just described, heard the song again and thought how perfectly is describes how my ex and I felt. |
