The Most Serene Republic songs are sometimes really hard to understand... A lot of them I still don't get or understand cuz Adrian Jewett's lyrics are so deep and filled with meaning and he also uses big words sometimes and sometimes makes sentences that aren't gramatically correct.. and I'm terrible at English so I'm not the best at this stuff. But I do what I can. This song is great. I hope someone figures out what it means though, cuz so far I've got no f-ing clue lol |

"remember that night we liked to play old board games him into trouble and you into risk thank god for gravity he replied to a question she never asked before she made her final move he stopped motion with his timex, grabbed her by the arm and said o my god" Alright so I think that whole part is basically a guy and a girl in a relationship. At first it starts out to be just a game so it was for fun. But then it got serious and resulting in having sex. The timex part is basically saying it was a magical moment that felt like it could last forever. So the Oh my god part here was probably an orgasm :P "even this overpass sees more travel than us" I think that part is saying that they've gotten into something really big. Something like the girl getting preagnant. "i’m reading what to say from a book of violent weather" This one is hard but I think it's about him saying things to her like: You're going to get through this. Because she's going through labour. "your limbs flail to music that only you can hear" That sounds like she's feeling the pain of her being in labour which only she can feel. "make your mouth some headphones and whisper in my ear o my god" That part sounds like she's screaming in pain to him from trying to give birth to their baby. Thats my view on it. |
