| Mumford & Sons – Winter Winds Lyrics | 15 years ago |

I know i'm late to comment so i doubt anyone will see this. i'd like to apologize in advance if i come off as repetitive because I did not read all of the comments above. the main thing i noticed from this song was the order in which the chorus goes. "My head told my heart 'let love grow' but my heart told my head 'this time no'". for those of us who listen to mumford and sons often it seems clear that none of their lyrics are "by mistake." they are very precise in what they say and how they say it. so i think it is very telling of the message that the heart is the one telling the mind "no." there is often a clash in each of us when making decisions to go with ur mind or ur feeling. in this case it's obvious that the man is with a woman and is dealing with that inner struggle. i have two theories on what it could be. i think either this person is someone the man feels he SHOULD be with for reasons like money, stability, comfort, or whatever. but his heart isn't with her and he can't feel the love for her that he wants himself to feel. or i think that he is trying to love again but has been hurt too many times and his heart is sort of asking his head for a reprieve saying he isn't ready to love again. just some thoughts. |

| I thought this too when I first heard it. It may be seen as digging a little too much for religious symbolism in the lyrics, but my mind also went there. | |

young slung, hung here haha i think it's a pretty clear line. he's not talking about his penis..he's saying "hung here" as in like "used to go here" or "hung out here." |

| Set It Off – Oh Marjorie Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Cody Carson (the singer) wrote this song for the girl he was going out with at the time that he left to go to college in Ohio. He posted a video of him singing it solo on youtube and it got so many views he was able to get it on itunes. when "set it off" became a band they recorded this song with the whole band and put it on their debut CD. | |
| This Providence – Wolf In Sheep's Clothing Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
not sure if anyone already said this cause i didn't read the comments.... This Providence is sort of a Christian band and in the Bible there is a Gospel called "False Prophets." It talks about how you must beware of wolves dressed as sheep meaning prophets that were not sent from God. So that explains the title. |

ATLLOVER has it right Alex said its about a girl he knew that became a stripper. He thought it was awesome and funny so he wrote a song about it. The verses tell the story about an agent booking his stripper friend to be something more and it goes on from there. go on youtube.com and type in "All time low live on altitude tv" you can see an acoustic performance of the song and hear alex say basically what i just typed |

Alright, since the entire album is about the New Testament, we will have to analyze this from a Catholic/Atheist standpoint: Your feelings were sacrificed For a greater cause, and if you forget what you saw, you’ll be forgiven But there isn’t a chance, That I could do this on my own. These lyrics strongly suggest that this song could just be about a certain group of people. There names? oh yeah, the APOSTLES. 12 men who helped Jesus with the spreading of Christianity across the world. Leave out the meaning this time Let tensions evolve Intimate groove confused In childish tantrums Along with this paragraph, I would believe that this is also about the Apostles because they were all different nationalities and different professions that rivaled one another. So I would believe that it would mean that they had to get along one way or another. Repitition of above lyrics, blah blah blah... In childish tantrums like you always do set your mental alarm for everybody elses sake I think this means what I said above, they worked together to spread its word, it would possibly mean that they know that they are going to be killed or hurt for what they are going to say, so mentally, they have to put themselves in a quick mindset that they are doing this for a greater good. This is just my opinion, would anyone agree? |

| Blink-182 – Adam's Song Lyrics | 17 years ago |

after i posted that ^^ i went looking again for myself and found this quote on wikipedia According to band member Tom DeLonge: “ The story behind [the song] is Mark read a letter someone sent him as an email, that a kid wrote to his parents before he committed suicide. We kind of got together and wrote this sad, slow song. It came out sadder than we ever thought it would, which is good too. Any song that moves you is good. Some people listen to it and go 'Wow, that's a real bum-out of a song.' But it's one of those things, a story of a kid not being happy in his life, crossed with us being really lonely on tour. At the end of it there's a better way out, there are better things to do than kill yourself." so there u go |

| Blink-182 – Adam's Song Lyrics | 17 years ago |

| Yellowcard – Fighting Lyrics | 17 years ago |

i think lgfootball89 has a good point about it being about the fans not liking "Lights and Sounds" cause I saw an interview with Ryan and he said Lights and Sounds was about realizing ur lost so "But before I walk out there is something that I need you to know I got lost in the blink of eye And I could never give back, no I never got back" makes sense cause he is explaining to ppl why Lights and Sounds was the way it was......not sure if thats true but maybe |
|
| Yellowcard – The Takedown Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| not sure what the song is specifically about but its obviously someone going out on their own when you dont think their ready and u try to make them stay ??? not sure but it is definitely an amazing song | |
| Yellowcard – Bombers Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think theres same mistakes, correct me if I am wrong..... "I am an echo I am hurt but never seen" should be "I am an echo I am HEARD but never seen" and where it says "Collecting leafs collecting all abandoned hearts" i think its "Collecting NAMES collecting all abandoned hearts" |
