| well, i don't usually pay attention to bullet's lyrics. i mean, for me this is just about anger and strong emotion. i wouldn't get surprised if this was really about murdering a gf, after hit the floor, that's about raping and killing, they allways have this violent ideas. i think all we can take from them is not some moral or lesson of life, it's all about this emotion of anger and rage, to scream not really about a dead girlfriend or whatever, but about everything that pisses you off. | |

i agree with NGTohmaSeguchi, it's about a person who is in pain and has to hold on, every day, it sounds like a depression to me, also because he feels guilty about everything wrong in his life. and this person is saying that he/she could end it right now, commit suicide, but something keeps holding him and doesn't let him give up. i feel it like inside, though he knows he will never be happy, he still has some really weak hope that maybe that's not true, because even if all the chances are against him, it doesn't end to be impossible, and so he keeps holding to that little hope he has, and keeps fighting. "Maybe in time, I'll find my way." |

i think there's no mistery here. it's a song to someone who is gonna comict suicide, from probably a friend. he asks to friend not to jump (suicide), telling him his emotions are fooling him, and this is not the solution. in the video, bill appears in both situations, because he sings both. the chorus is the friend thoughts and the other parts (althought he says you) is the situation of the one who is going to kill himself. "The eyes of the city Are counting the tears falling down Each one a promise Of everything you never found" ... "The snow falls quietly You just can't feel it no more Somewhere out there You lost yourself in your pain" he thinks he never found true happiness and the pain doesn't let him feel it again. he is lost, the pain doesn't let him live, it is smaching him slowly and there's no way out. "You open your eyes But you can't remember what for" he can't realise why he is still there, he sees nothing but suffer in his life and nothing to keep him there. "And if all that can't hold you back Then I'll jump for you " well at first, this part of the song was kindof confusing for me, now i think it knows what it means but i'm not sure at all. the meaning i get from here is that the lost of his friend would give him (bill with jacket :p) to much pain, because he would miss him and probably would feel guilty for letting this happen, and that would driving him to madness and would make him give his life for his friend. |

i don't think it is for us to see the point of someone who was betrayed but the point of the one that betrays someone who trusted him/her. in my opinion, it's about someone who has pushed people away by letting them down. he wants people to trust him and give him another chance but deep inside he has a great fear of letting them down. it's just how i feel it :) |

"We are" is so repeated because it's the main idea of the whole song, that we are not alone and other people feel the same. "Do you think about everything you've been through... We get knocked down, we get back up" it means that lots of shit can happen, and when it happens, we have to hold on. and the peolple who in the past had to stand much more pain and soffer than the others and get up, get stronger yeah but also colder and have more difficulties to trust someone than the others. "and stand above the crowd" they are always going to be far from most of the people. "I need to figure out who's behind you" most of thing peolple hide themselfs and hold themselfs to don't mess up. he's asking them to show him how they really are. |

isn't it "i need to figure out who's behind me" rather than "who's behind you"? anyway, great song, very good lyrics, very direct and easy to understand, especially if you're in the same position. the title "one x" explains the idea, it's about someone who is depressed and feels like he/she is the one rejected. it starts refering to someone, like the singer has talking to him. "Do you think that there's no one like you". then it changes to the way the singer feels, repeating some of the same expressions. this song is mostly telling people that they are not the only ones feeling that way and they are not alone. |

super.skank.park. i hate when people relate hard music to guys and soft music to girls. everyone has their taste in music, the sex is irrelevant. however i really like trivium and i think it is great if they try new stuff. althought it has sad lyrics, i don't know why, but i fing the melody kinda fun. it's very different from, for example, their great song ascendancy, that has a much depressing touch. |

i think the vampires' thing is a metaphor. here is my opinion about the meaning of this song: the music video starts with a light showing up in his room, that wakes him up and he realises he is stuck in a chair with cables coming out of him, connected to his heart that is shown far away from him. when the light appears his heart starts shining. i think the cables may represent the reason and logic, and the lack of emotion or passion, that don't let him be free and are controling his heart. the light waking him up represents some thought that made him see that he wasn't really living his life. that's why appears "awaken" in the song's chorus. "For a while I thought I fell asleep Lying motionless inside a dream" he means that he was living a meanless life, and he didn't even realise it. "Then rising suddenly I felt a chilling breath upon me She softly whispered in my ear: Forsaken I have come for you tonight Awaken Look into my eyes and take my hand Give yourself up to me" a shining woman appears and speaks to him, telling him to come with her. he tries to touch her but he can't. so, he breaks the cables that are holding him. well, this represents the temptation that defeats the reason, and he decides to live his life freely. he starts running away, following the light, that means freedom, and breaks the window's glass of that "prison", where he was living. he starts falling, but the woman saves him. this i don't understand what it means, maybe he is out of control and she helps him, i don't know. "I waited painfully For night to fall again Trying to silence the fear within me" he is scared because he is no longer between that walls that could protect him. when anyone takes chances, they are always afraid of something that can go wrong. "Out of an ivory mist I felt a stinging kiss And saw a crimson stain on her lips I have to know your name Where have I seen your face before? My dear one don't you be afraid" well, in this part, i think that "I felt a stinging kiss" doesn't really mean a bite, like it was already said. in my opinion it is a metaphor for the moment when he fell in love. "stinging" and "kiss" are two words with opposite feelings: pain and pleasure. that are the main feelings of love, a combination of really strong contrasts. when she bites him, his veins turn black, like she had sent a poison to his blood, representing all his addiction for her, and the fact that he had a part of her inside him. it also makes his heart (symbol of love) shine strongly, now shown inside him. he seems to become mad, crazy of love. since then his eyes turn red, like he started to see the whole world differently. and he can also see her clearly now, he starts to get to know her. and he sees her beautiful. the passion becomes love. "Forsaken I have come for you tonight Awaken Look into my eyes and take my hand Give yourself up to me Take me far away Close your eyes And hold yuor breath To the ends of the earth" they fly together: he now feels free, like in a dream. they are alone, flying through the sky: they feel like there's no-one else but both of them. she shows him beautiful things, things he had never seen/felt before. then, suddenly, there is an eclipse and all that light that existed before is gone. there is a hole new dark backgroung, when a huge spaceship appears, something they didn't know to exist in that amazing world they thought they knew. they try to fly away from it all and he asks her to bite him again. that is the last paragraph: "Forsaken Fly away with me tonight Awaken Renew my life Now you are mine Give yourself up to me" she refuses, her figure starts to get unclear and she goes away. in the next scene, the ambient is dark, and he is now in the ground, freeless again, while he is holding her and watching her disappear from his life. his heart is dark and cold again, now in his hands, and he is feeling real pain. in the end, a light appears far away from there. it is the sun rising, a whole new begin. he stands up, ready to continue with his life. |
