Panic! at the Disco – Nine In The Afternoon Lyrics 17 years ago
This song is about writing Pretty. Odd.

"Back to the street where we began"/"Back to the room where it all began"- they went back to the exact same room to write this record as the one they used to write A Fever You Can't Sweat Out.

"Nine in the afternoon" came from when they were writing this, and thye had no windows and no perception of time, so someone said "it feels like seven in the afternoon" and someone else added "it feels more like nine in the afternoon".

Everyone in the band contributed to the lyrics for this song.

Panic! at the Disco – I Have Friends In Holy Spaces Lyrics 17 years ago
"You remind me of
A few of my famous friends
Well, that all depends
On what you qualify as friends"

I think this is talking about how, now that they're famous, the assosciate with so many "friends", when really those don't know Panic! at all. They talk to them only for publicity/fame or because they're expected to, or maybe because they just like to mingle with the elite, but they're not actually friends, they only know the band socially. Therefore, Panic! wrote a song having a go at their "friends".
Well, the chorus anyway. I need to look at the verses more before I find a meaning for that...
