i think matterman is right. theres so many clues about them being jews in occupied germany and taken together with a few different say anything songs and their other references to the war which i think must have been max bemis' special intrest makes sense, especially lines like boot stomp meadows and collect gold fillings...think its fantastically written! very complex and deep and meaningful wihtout being too obviously written, fans of this song should like a walk through hell too its pretty similar and equally brilliant! |

ive got a theory on this song. You guys noticed how in most songs they mention that theyre jewish, like in touched herself says rabbi and in alive with the glory of love its about nazis, well i reckon a walk through hell is actually about going across no mans land in ww2 then going back home to the one he loves and has missed during the war... i think thats why they talk about swimming oceans cos want to get back from france, and i think her swimming in the dark is about how they couldnt have the lights on during the bombing raids... no idea about the legs part.. i think the horrible beasts are the german soldiers.. and i think the line under their shell is about shell as in steal shell from a bomb in the war... might be completely wrong but its my interpretation..anyone think i might be right? :S song is amazing! nearly as good as alive! |
