Wow egotist.... you sound very hypocritical in what you say... where's your comment about the artist's verbal perspective?? Sounds like your trying to lecture us on a subject you clearly failed, with the fact that your ego is coming out... Any way this song is so well written and i can't stop listening to it... the music is just Beautiful. |

This song is so meaningful to me, due to a parable my father used to read to me when I was a child called the "Prodigal Son", I love how the song catches the emotion of the son leaving his family, even when the family had most everything in abundance, and he still chooses to rebel and go out on his own. But as you all probably know that the son can't make it on his own and finds himself destitute, embarrassed and crawling back to his family...where his father joyfully takes him back with unending love. This song catches me every time reminding me of how my father loves me with unending love and how he can put up with my stubbornness. I know the song means much more, but really its my life's relation to it, and its such a beautiful song. |

I agree with Rynych and Disguistipated... they are using critical thinking, and reading the lyrics from an objective viewpoint, I mean the song is very beautiful, and can be misconstrued with a religious aspect, even if Dustin is a Christian, that has nothing to do with the overall fact that this song is about AIR and its functions, and how it can be "Cursed" do to its erratic nature (Tornadoes, Hurricanes). Rynych I am taking a Psych class in college, I wouldn't put to much faith into what Freud has to say, after all he was a paranoid, crack addict, although he was a brilliant psychiatrist. |

Ok.. My father used to read me this Story of Icarus and Daedelus when i was young, and he explained to me that I should listen to him and trust his instruction. This song I believe is about child rearing, how some kids choose to rebel and not listen. Really is a beautiful song and it caught me up when I first heard it and reminded me of when my father would read me this story. |
