One of the best Heart songs ever! Brilliant mandolins especially during the "Sylvan Song" part. I think, along with the midieval imagery, the song is about an endless quest; kind of like the holy grail, a prise that is ultimately unattainable. |

I love this song. In fact, I do an acoustic cover of it at my shows. I love the "oppositness" of "the hailstones of summer and "a scorching winter land". That's intersting that they would shoot cannons in hopes of "opening" the sky for rain. Brilliant song...one of my favourites off of Tinderbox! |

This is one of my all time FAVOURITE Siouxsie & The Banshees songs! And it IS one of the best album closers ever! I always figured it had somethign to do with Stalin or his time (Under the hammer of the Soviet sun). I always liked to think of it universally: no matter how oppressed one or a people is, no one can oppress a person's thoughts in their head. I always took the "rhapsody" as a person's free will. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this song... |
