THIS IS ABOUT THE ATTACKS ON THE WORLD TRADE CENTRE. (lest we forget) Erm... yes this is so very much about 9/11. why? simple... "Here they played out their peaceful lives, innocent of the litany of excess and violence that was growing in the world below." This is about the blindness the american people had to the terror and angst against them, swelling in the world. It says "below" as in at the base of the twin towers. Then it goes of into a riff about theese strangefolk who pounce on the unsespecting people and "shoot them in the head" (metaphor about the suprise to which the attacks had been recived) OH AND ONE MORE THING it reffers to the towers as mountains which is a refferance to nostradamuses predictions about it. He used the term "twin mountains" to describe the twin towers. |

This is about the iraq war. It says "The war is over So said the speaker" which is commenting on how we found sadam hussien and the goverment then announced that the war had ended. Which of course it did not, beacuse there is still unrest in iraq. British and american troops are still fighting. Also it goes "Chill with your old lady at the tilt I got a 90 days digit And I'm filled with guilt From things that I've seen Your water's from a bottle Mine's from a canteen" This is about talking with your local shop keeper about current avents and when you son is comming home from iraq. This is my fave line though "Out in the desert With my street sweeper" Yet another blatently obvious reference to war. |

This track was used on a british animation seires called Monkey dust. Type it into you tube and listen to the intro. Monkey dust has ended now but it was a satirical take on britains seedy underbelly. To me this is about insults and lies, when you think you know a freind but then they just backstabb you. |
