I dont think christess is Tarja ... it actually says very clear that what Marcelo killed was the love between them (them, maybe tuomas-tarja or tarja-rest of the band) tuomas also seems ashamed with himself for not saying what he felt in time. ... the drawing in the album actually shows a hand moving a puppet which is burning. still, i think there is a song where you can feel even harder the emotions within .... when Marco sings the chorus in "bye bye beautiful" it really gets into you .... well, maybe because I love them and it gets me, but that what I feel. |

its the whole point of loosing his band, everything he's lived for, in the past 10 years or so... and of course the point of being related to Tarja is that her attitude was actually what brought him to that depression, i think this song is the reflection of all he passed through this last couple of years. The song talks about the end of old nightwish, the end of an era...and the beginning of a new one, that new one (part 5) its actually filled with so much hope that gets the song to a different path, i love it.... I once read he had already wrote songs for the new album for Tarja to sing, but then everything happened and he wrote some new ones for dark passion play, would he refer to those "1000 pages of erased text" ? |

it is definitely the way of saying Tarja good bye .... it was actually the first song they sang at the concert here in mexico. Personally, since some albums ago i've thought that Tarja has always been Tuomas beloved one, but never said it straight to her, but through his songs...maybe i'm crazy, maybe he just loved her as a really beloved friend, but it definitely hurted him... "Someday I`ll learn to love these scars Still fresh from the red-hot blade of your words" Nightwish may have lost the uniqueness of Tarja's vocals, but it still has the uniqueness of that beloved poet that still makes some gorgeous pieces of art. I can say in the concert i missed that power that Tarja gave to songs, but Marco handled songs very well, and well...having tuomas, jukka, emppu and marco playing turned you on!! plus, all of them looked really happy (actually i bought a picture where they all appear so happy, hugging each other and laughing) i think this was a great change for them, Annete seems a great person and that's what Nightwish needed ;) |
