This is a truly haunting song. I stumbled on it when I was about 13 or so. (My father had the album) During this time I was having a hard time grasping the concept of the world ending, no more people and me dying. Sad thoughts. But it helped me because its just as much a very beautiful song. I do subscribe to the idea that it makes you think, if a visitor should someday travel to earth what do we want them to find, what will our legacy be? Just a beautifully writen song both lyrics and melody. |
