| Mariah Carey – Without You Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| the version with Harry Nilsson is always gonna be the best. Classic, sad, romantic, and touching to the deepest corner of the heart, espcially if you happen to hear it when your love is gone. | |
| Eagles – I Can't Tell You Why Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
i know, huh? it does sound like it uses a drum machine. the same exact beat throughout the entire song almost. but, you could look at it as constant, just like the love that he feels for her. it is constant and strong, no matter what. i think that in this song, he is just wondering why it is that they have to be fighting and arguing so much when they love each other, you know? "make it harder than it has to be" and yes. its the type of song that you would wanna drink on a cold rainy night. also, its the type of song that you'd wanna dance with your girl to makeup after a fight, after all, that's what the song is about, trying to make up..and that guitar solo towards the end of the song is chingon, too!!! |

| Judas Priest – Jawbreaker Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| why do some idiots have to mention Halfords sexual preference? Why in the hell would the rest of the band members even want to sing/play about one of the band member's homosexuality anyway? There can be a sexal conotation but it doesn't necessarily have to be "gay". But put simply, this song is basically talking about a blow job and the "Jawbreaker" is obviously the guy receiving the favor. and its called a jawbreaker because he is ramming it into his partner's mouth and/or (and most likely)he is endowed. | |
| AC/DC – The Razor's Edge Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| i think its possible that for this song (and one of very very few) ac/dc reflects on the consequences of living such a filthy life filled with sex, sex, sin andmore sex and not caring about anything except just getting laid and having a good time freely without any worries about consequences. Don't you think? The "razor" could refer to God's sword and Judgment Day. | |
| AC/DC – Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| all of you dont understand what ac/dc is all about. over half the song talk about getting laid, the rest talk about rock and roll and have a good time free of all the bullshit that exists today. this song is just another one talking about sex, similar to "touch too much" or "whole lotta rosie" where the sex is lead by the girl (who by the way seems always to be pretty good at what she does in bed) | |
| AC/DC – Stiff Upper Lip Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| it does mean what coldethyl said, show no emotions but it also has a reference to being fierce (whether in bed or in combat)...similar to how a dog snarls at you when you piss it off and it gives that look with the teeth out (at that point, the dog's lips are stiff) | |
| Judas Priest – Judas Rising Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
in a certain way, you could see it as a come back of judas priest to its roots with the return of halford, much like ac/dc's back in black continuing playing even when late singer bon scott died but then brian johnson was pulled in as lead singer. with "judas rising" the band could be talking of its return to their rightful throne as metal gods now that halfor is in again. however, as it was metioned above, it does sound kind of scary. this is because it is sort of talking about the end of the world. when judas iscariot sold out jesus, he was condemend to hell because of his sin, and so, you could look at it as judas siding with satan to destroy the world when satans army collides with that of the heavens in the forcoming armaggedon mentioned in the apocalypse of the bible. Look at it: 1. "war in the heavens" war between god and satan. 2. "eternal betrayer" for selling out Jesus even though he was a follower of him at first. 3. "dark prince of the world" referring to satan who reigns over hell, or to himself for siding with satan to confront heaven in the armageddon. |
