To me this song has a different meaning - that of someone just starting up an affair after a long build up. I won't look down is maybe saying 'I won't think about the one I'm with' because they are too caught up in the moment, but then they see the way Gravity (or your coimmitment to another and your life with them) is pulling on them, 'I can't help crying' could be recognition that it's wrong but you just can't help it, it's been a long time coming and a long time waiting to have that moment with the one you are so besotted with, and your heart is pounding. |
