I don't believe this song is about a girl who killed herself. Or Winona. Probably not even about a girl named laura yknow most decet writers change names. In general it's a sad song of everything he wants to say to her now. Thefirst stanza about an estate of sorrows is all figurative Like she's trapped in some sort of depression and has been for a while, but unlike before, now she no longer has days free from the depression, instead she wallows in it. Conor expresses how beautiful she was and that her tainted beauty and lack of constants in her life is what really made her something special. Through the middle of the song conor seems to remember their times together and how he tried to help her and her family was concerned as well. Then he seems to reveal he suffers the same as her and perhaps it's why he couldn't help her When conor says he thinks he'd call tonight it shows he still thinks about her often and cares. The last few lines seem to just be final words he'd like her to know Not to ashamed by the fact that she struggles. And honestly I think it's the ones with the sorest throats who have done the most singing means something along the lines of like it's the people who have felt so much emotion who have done so much living. |

the now in the first stanza should be not. can someone fix that? it would totally change the direction of the song if the nots were nows. hah although I wouldn't mind the song that way. and "your way too loud" should be "you're way too loud" other than that, this has gotta be their best song in my opinion. |
