Totally agree with the comments above, although I think this is more about how he's wanting to but the relationship that seems to work out to always only be "just a game" to bed. By him saying let’s go to bed he's saying let's put this (relationship) to bed. I think milk too was just what he thought of when thinking of shaking; the way milk ripples when you move it. Sometimes writers put words together simply because they sound good together not because they necessarily mean something. |

The song is so obviously about falling in love. Everything is beautiful and wonderful, to the point where he is in heaven, and loving everything about this person. Why is it that drugs are always referenced when it is so not about drugs? |

I think this could have many different meanings, drugs depression, and anxiety to name a few. I do get a feeling however that it is also about some that has let him down in someway. This seems to be a relationship that isn't exactly appropriate. This is causing him much grief. I take the gun reference as him actually looking at this person and feeling like he might as well be looking down the barrel of a gun. No matter what he does, nothing seems to help him. This must be more than just drugs as he says "everything that I've done is leading me to conclude I'm not the one." Also the reference about never agreeing to be their "holy one." |
