Here are the missing lyrics per Sony Australia: What if I I can't move around? (Around) What if I I can't move around? (Around, around) Chairpage doesn't have this verse, which explains why it's missing. |

| Silverchair – Cemetery Lyrics | 17 years ago |

During one show, he said that the song was about a male prostitute, which was how he felt about himself in relation to the music industry. The chorus definitely relates to that and to the way he felt about music at the time. The industry wanted to beat grunge's dead horse as much as it could, and that's what it expected out of silverchair. Some of it was self-imposed, though - Johns has talked about being reluctant to show certain feelings or sing the way he wanted to sing on 'Freakshow' because it wasn't 'masculine'. (And he actually didn't intend to submit 'Cemetery' for the album - his mum slipped the tape to John Watson.) 'I'll give you warning I'll give you click click boom' Probably the most important part of the song, because this is exactly what happened - this is when Johns started to unravel. He was giving notice of what was to come. |

| Indochine – Alice et June Lyrics | 17 years ago |

eva, wakeup is close - some of the verb tenses are incorrect, but that doesn't affect the meaning much. >>but what does one make of evil? i dont remember anything there is too much world around me Alice isnt coming back to me The lyrics were wrong. The first line of this verse has been corrected, and it means: 'But what did we do tomorrow?' The rest: 'I don't remember anything There are way too many people around me Alice isn't returning to you' As for the meaning, the lyrics are rather vague. There are two girls in the video, one being followed (but not really chased) by several guys, and one running alone. The first, I think, is Alice and the second is June. 'June', on the same album, is about an anorexic girl. Both girls are running from their pain - perhaps it's depression for Alice? Or sexual abuse? Either would work with 'Alice est née dans un endroit, Un endroit qu'il ne fallait pas'. 'Alice ne te retourne pas' The boys following her in the video, as I noted above, don't seem to be menacing - indeed, they seem to be suffering, too, and perhaps, like the singer, they want to save her. |

| Silverchair – Suicidal Dream Lyrics | 17 years ago |

This song is deeper than it's given credit. The first verse is a petulant daydream, idle thoughts about lashing back at hurtful people. Little kids hold their breath when they're angry; the first verse is passive-aggressive, manipulative. In the second verse, the anger turns inward - the 'people making fun of me' have been internalised. The voice in his head is now saying hateful things to him, and he believes it. Suicide is no longer a daydream of revenge - it's a means of putting an end to the person he hates most, and a noose is a rather effective way to hold your breath. |

| Silverchair – Point Of View Lyrics | 17 years ago |

>>By hurting yourself you are only helping your "enemies" I think it's the other way around - by letting your enemies walk all over you, you cut yourself (metaphorically). >>If you change your mind constantly, never holding down any specific views or beliefs, you can make it through life without any conflict. I got this, too, but I'm not sure how it fits with Johns' own description of the song. He's said that it's about being taken advantage of when you're in a vulnerable position. It's tempting to interpret the song as a commentary on date rape, but NB was a very personal album. It wasn't about things he saw on tv (like FS was), but about his life. So, I'm thinking that he's comparing his own relationship with someone to date rape - someone he trusted has betrayed him. 'Pretend the steak's a cowboy' - could relate to him being a vegan, in a very symbolic way (you can swallow the crap people feed you if you pretend it's something else) 'And the kiss will kill you' - this has to be a reference to the Judas kiss, the kiss of a friend who betrays |
