Yes. Suicide is the original thought, but that is NOT what this song really means. That's the problem, no one bothers to look past the surface. So many casual fans make that mistake. The song is about freeing yourself from the usual worries and controls that pin people down in life. Yes, the song is about not fearing death - when it comes. The man speaking to the woman in the song is the Grim Reaper, not her lover (deeper meaning once again). |
