At the Austin City Limits 2007 Kevin Devine said, "This song is about sex during wartime and how it's hard to keep an erection up when CNN keeps showing all the death tolls." To me the song is about how hard it is to do anything when there's this war going on and questioning if what you do to help matters or helps. |
