ya i agree it would have something to do with witches because magic with a "k" at the end is the name for the type of magic/magick witches practice. don't understand why ryan would say it also has to do with oj and making out, but whatever it's his song, so he only knows the true meaning. |

i'm surprised nobody commented this song yet! it's got to be the saddest song i've ever heard from beck.
i'm pretty sure the song's about a brother that passed away, and it mentions it on wikipedia that he does have a brother. also if you read the song carefully it's easy to understand, and the lyrics are so well put together. |

really awesome song to open up the c.d. Modern Guilt. the lyrics are so hard to describe (as is 90% of Beck's lyrics) ;p
i think it has something to do with how you feel when you're by yourself and how it's the opposite of how it's supposed to be - like you're an orphan, but that shouldn't have happened.
i also think it's about someone who wants to be even slightly loved (ex: "to be loved or destroyed, from a void to a grain of sand in your hand) - from nothing to a little bit of something.
and it seems like it deals a lot with confusion.
