As Cities Burn's songs are all extremely personal. That is why you can hear the passion in their songs. I believe that every song in the album, Cody wrote the lyrics from his perspective. He is not losing his faith or at the beginning of his walk with God. He is being real and saying things that most Christians just don't talk about. He is talking about his doubts and questions. He is writing about how he actually feels, not how the bible tells him to feel. This isn't contemporary Christian music. |
