Leah Andreone – Hell to pay Lyrics 17 years ago
I believe it means if we weren't afraid of the consequences of our actions, what type of people would we be?

Fiona Apple – Sullen Girl Lyrics 17 years ago
and he washed me ashore..and he took my pearl, and left an empty shell of me

It was confirmed by her in an article that was about her rape. Just that line I guess though - it was the only time she wrote anything about it on that album. Heartbreaking song - beautiful.

Sarah McLachlan – Dear God Lyrics 17 years ago
I don't think this song is about atheism at all.. Yes, Sarah did not write the song, but she did record so I can understand why people are acting as if they are her words.

I think this song is about someone who is angry and hurt and questioning the existance of God - someone who has lost thier faith. I don't think this is about an atheist. There is a lot of pain and anger in this song, which likely means it is about someone who trusted God and was let down by something(s). An atheist wouldn't get this worked up or question anything - they just don't believe, they wouldn't be hurt but what they think are God's actions. Just my thoughts.

I think this song is very human and honest... There is nothing wrong with questioning this. I think the song is amazing - whether I agree with what is says or not is besides the point.

Martina McBride – A Broken Wing Lyrics 17 years ago
The woman being sung about did NOT kill herself at the end - I think the song is very clear. She may be beaten down and broken by her husband's actions but in the end she had the strength to get up and leave. It is supposed to be an empowering song for abused women.

Leah Andreone – You make me remember Lyrics 17 years ago
I don't see how this is reminding people of liking guys and such...

This song is deff about Leah's sexual abuse and that she is in a relationship that is "unconscience suicide," meaning that it is negative and only reminds her of the past memories. This song is heartbreakingly real and I think she was very brave to sing it.

Leah Andreone – Sunny Day Lyrics 17 years ago
I think she was talking about a person who is no longer connecting to the world - maybe depression. She is going through the motions but feels nothing. It is about trying to bring her back to where she is happy again.
