| The Wonder Years – Came Out Swinging Lyrics | 14 years ago |

The muffled voice at the start of this track is [i think] a clip from an old recording of Allen Ginsberg reading his poem 'America'. It says "My mind is made up, there's going to be trouble.", which is a line from the poem. There's loads of other references to the poem 'America' in this album, have a look on the album's wikipedia page for the rest of them. |

| Green Day – 21 Guns Lyrics | 16 years ago |

This song has the worst lyrics of any popular song out at the moment. It makes me cringe how contrived it is. Don't get me wrong, the music, melody and production are all first class, but the lyrics couldve been written by anyone with a rhyming dictionary. At so many points in the song it seems like he's writing anything that fits in with the general idea of the lyrics (whatever that may be) just so that the line conforms to the nice melody they've come up with. By far the worst line is this: "When your mind breaks the spirit of your soul" It's like he's just thought "Hmmm, what are good, deep, meaningfull words that are used in songs these days? 'mind' spirit' 'soul' Yeah! let's use them all!" It makes me sad how good Green Day once were, now they're just money-grabbing corporate tools. The only reason this song is famous is because they are already famous. If an amateur band brought out this song it would get nowhere because it's a terrible song. Rant over. I'm not going to check back here to see how many of you disagree so say what you want. |

This is such a good song, i have absolutely no idea what it means though... It sounds as if he wrote it whilst in a car on the motorway, writing down things he saw and thought of! amazing anyway. young! young! raw! raw! hide!! hide!! hide!! |

| Cobra Starship – Awww Dip Lyrics | 17 years ago |

"And I'm ready for it, Awww dip I used that line, line, line again" In this line Gabe is saying how he has used the line ''im ready for it" before in what most people would believe is their most famous song (and which he also believes, as he has stated in interviews!) which is 'Snakes on a plane(bring it)' The line in THAT song is this: "Oh, I'm ready for it Come on, bring it." he's saying 'awww dip!' as in 'awww shoot!' or 'awww no!' x |
